The Distinguished Young Woman of Simpson County for 2020 is Meredith Raby, from Franklin.

Meredith’s achievements include: Bronze Medalist for WKU's annual World history contest • Hand-selected to attend Jostens Renaissance National Conference • First Place Chalk Drawing at District Beta Competition • One of the WKU Top High School Scholars in the Five County Area • Selected to be in FSHS advanced, audition choir • Selected for membership in the National Society of High School Scholar • Top 5 placement in District 3 Beta Division 2 history test • TDMEA Junior High All-District SATB honors choir • KMEA Junior High All-State Honors Choir • Franklin-Simpson Leader of the Month

In addition, Meredith’s activities include: All-Starz Dance Academy Competition Dance Team • Franklin-Simpson Girls Golf varsity player • FSHS Senior Beta Officer of Community Service • FSHS Student Council Secretary & previously Class Reporter • FSHS Mu Alpha Theta member • Golf Cart Attendant at Kenny Perry’s Country Creek Golf Course • Lead role in FSHS’s production of High School Musical on Stage! • Assistant stage manager in FSHS’s production of Little Shop of Horrors • Member of FSHS FBLA • Member and Vice President of Membership of FSHS FCCLA
Started & managed an aluminum can recycling program to benefit FSHS senior class • Volunteered to supervise elementary students during parent-teacher conferences • Assists in the children's ministry at church • Assisted with local children’s community theatre productions • Collected and packaged small toiletries for the church's backpack program
